What should I do when first burning a candle

When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the container to ensure an even burn. This will prevent the candle from “tunneling” and will maximize the fragrance throw. For the best results, we recommend burning your candle for 2-4 hours at a time.

All of our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax, which is non-toxic and biodegradable. We also use lead-free cotton wicks, essential oils and fragrance oils that are paraben-free and phthalate-free.

Can I fix a candle that started tunneling?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can fix a candle that has started tunneling. To fix tunneling, let the candle burn for 4 hours or until the wax has melted to the edges of the jar. 
If wax is still pooled at the center, pour the melted wax out of the jar  and using a spoon scrape out the edges that have not melted in order to even out the wax. 
To prevent tunneling in the future, make sure to keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch and burn the candle for at least 2 hours, no more than 4 hours at a time.
